Natural cosmetics are becoming increasingly popular. If you have never used them before, which products should you pay attention to first?
Natural Banana and Chocolate Soap
But there is a slight catch. There are two main types of handmade soap: soap made from a ready-made soap base and soap made from scratch from oils and alkali. The second type is 100% natural and beneficial, while soap made from a soap base is not very different in composition from store-bought soap, although it makes a nice souvenir. How can you tell the difference? Read the ingredients!
Soap made from scratch contains potassium and sodium salts of fatty acids from various fats and all kinds of additives to make the soap as gentle as possible in terms of its cleansing properties. This soap is made from natural vegetable oils, and clay, milk, silk, tar, exfoliating particles, herbs, and an incredible variety of other beneficial ingredients can be added to it.
Properly made natural soap is suitable for sensitive and delicate skin, gently cleansing it without disrupting its protective functions.
Solid shampoos
You can’t do without shampoo. Many people prefer solid shampoos because they are convenient to take on trips and in hand luggage, they are much more economical to use, and they do not require special packaging in the form of plastic bottles, which helps us take care of the environment.
SoapTime Solid Shampoo
Solid shampoos also come in two types: shampoo soap made from scratch and shampoos based on surfactants. Don’t be alarmed by the term “surfactants” (surface-active substances), because they come in many different forms, and technology is constantly evolving, so there are now plenty of mild surfactants on the market that are approved by all international standards for organic and natural cosmetics. It is quite difficult to find products with such surfactants in regular stores, but they are used in natural cosmetics, so you can rest assured that such products are safe for both the consumer and the environment.
Solid shampoo
If you want to try completely natural shampoos, choose shampoo soap made from scratch. The technology is the same as for making regular soap, but the composition of oils and additives is selected specifically for hair, for example, natural silk, herbal decoctions, tar in anti-dandruff shampoos, etc. Making the perfect shampoo soap is much more difficult than making regular body soap, and not all craftsmen are able to select the right ingredients and get along with this product. However, if you find the right shampoo for you, you will be able to wash your hair less often and forget about itching, dandruff, and severe hair loss, which are so often caused by shampoos with aggressive sulfates in their composition. It is no coincidence that solid shampoos are bestsellers in my store!
Lip balms and nail wax
It is difficult to say exactly how much lipstick the average woman consumes in her lifetime, but scientists assure us that it is in the range of several kilograms. However, one thing can be said with certainty: if you read the ingredients of both decorative and hygienic lipsticks, you will definitely not want all these harmful components, preservatives, various petrochemical products, silicones, thickeners, and dyes to enter your body.
Cornflower hydrolate
Hydrolate does not contain dyes or fragrances; it is a natural tonic that contains all the benefits of the plant.
Hydrolates are excellent for toning the skin (which is a very important step in skin care that should not be neglected). You can rub hydrolates into the scalp, apply them to the length of the hair to add shine and make it easier to comb, dilute dry masks and ubtans with hydrolate, and use it throughout the day instead of thermal water.
Massage bars and oil compositions
Oils come in both liquid and solid (butters) forms. For example, cocoa, shea, and mango oils have a fairly solid consistency. They can be used to make wonderful oil bars and whipped body butters. These products do not require preservatives, are incredibly softening for the skin, and are ideal for massage.
